2027 Honda Super-One EV price purportedly leaked

The 2027 Honda Super-One electric hatch looks set to start from about $37,000 to $39,000 drive-away in Australia when orders open in the coming weeks.

If leaked prices claimed to be screenshots from a Honda test website – posted to Reddit by user u/Capt_SloMo – are accurate, the Super-One will be about $10,000 to $12,000 dearer than a base BYD Atto 1.

A configurator found on a Honda "staging" site – used by the brand to test new pages before they pushed to the main website – left accessible to the public lists a starting price of $38,900 drive-away for the EV.

It applies to single-tone Mono Grey, Crystal Black and Boost Violet colours; opting for two-tone paint shows a higher price of $39,400.

Elsewhere on the website, the Super-One is shown as cheaper, at $36,900 – a figure that still seems to be a drive-away price.

Honda Australia is yet to confirm prices of the Super-One, but Drive understands $38,900 is higher than the vehicle's true price, due to be announced imminently.

A spokesperson declined to confirm the accuracy of the $36,900 figure. It appears to be closer to the mark, though the final drive-away figure may differ slightly once full details are made public.

The Honda test website has since been updated to require a username and password for access.

If the $36,900 drive-away price is correct, it compares to about $27,100 to $31,200 drive-away for the BYD Atto 1 range, and about $29,400 to $34,000 drive-away for a Geely EX2, using an NSW postcode.

It would be cheaper than the regular RRP for the Hyundai Inster, at $39,000 before on-road costs, though it is currently on special for $35,990 drive-away.

Drive has previously speculated that the Australian Super-One would be priced from about $35,000 to $38,500 drive-away, using New Zealand prices as a guide.

Based on a Japanese-market 'kei' city car, the Super-One will be one of the smallest new cars sold in Australia in the modern era, and is aimed at enthusiast customers with sporty styling and dynamics.

It is powered by a 47kW electric motor that can increase its output to 70kW in Boost mode, backed by a 29.6kWh battery pack for 206km of claimed driving range in WLTP lab testing.

The price leaks list folding 'magic' rear seats, front sports seats, adaptive cruise control, and a Bose premium sound system on the equipment list.
